"Directing Sessions "

Mr. Jim Knight received his BA in History and M.Ed. from UCLA. He received his MA in American Studies from Pepperdine University. He is the Executive Director and the Film Chair for the Academy. Mr. Knight teaches film production and film history. He also is on staff in the theatre department as a director and technical director.

He is a proud alumnus of Culver City High School and was a former Los Angeles County and Culver City Unified teacher of the year.

His directing credits in film include "The Artist", "The Sweetest Thing", "A Tribute to the Stars", and "Summer in Switzerland".

His directing credits in the theatre include "Barefoot in the Park" and "The Mousetrap". He served as the technical director for "The Miracle Worker", "The Wiz", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Crimes of the Heart", "Taming of the Shrew", "Brighton Beach Memoirs", and "Into the Woods".

Jim has been instrumental in helping Voice Films and the production of "God Bless".

Jim will faciliate the both of the Forum Sessions on hand on directing. His deep knowledge of film and his gift for working with youth will be a tremendous benefit to all who attend Voice LA.
