The
Advisors: God
Bless really was a team effort. Although Dan and Brad put a lot of work
into their production, the advisors helped them make the film better.
Jim Knight also provided resources that really made the film possible.
The advisors are there to bring the best out in the youth, to focus on
their strenghts and interest. This is what positive youth development
is all about. |

Justin Lerner is in the
Advanced Filmmaking program for directors at UCLA. He also
has an amazing theater background. He helped Dan and Brad
understand the role of the Director, Assistant Director and
the producer. He is really great with youth and just a great
guy. |

Quyen Tran is the woman
on the far right. She is one of two people selected every
other year among thousands of applicants to be in both the
cinematography and directing program at UCLA. She is an accomplished
photographer. Her current film is focusing on Vietnam. She
helped with cinematography. We think she is going to be famous. |

He
is really amazing. He knows how to work with youth, how to
motivate them to work together. He also knows filmmaking and
producing like a pro. |

| Jim
Knight |
| |
| |
Jim
showed up at the "God Bless" production on top of
Baldwin Hills. He made suggestions on camera angles but always
left the decisions to Brad. As you can see, he even helped
with the crane by putting his weight into it. We really can't
say enough about how much Jim helped "God Bless."
He really is one in a million. |

| Debbie
Brubaker |
| |
| |
Debbie is a line producer
and producer. Being a line producer means that you really
know the nuts and bolts of producing - a pro's pro at producing.
She provided practical advice to Dan and Brad in areas that
they hadn't even considered: what will the crew eat? Where
will they go to the bathroom? When will you give the crew
a rest? We've learned that producing is the major area for
improvement in the next project. Get ready Debbie! |
